About our Worship and Congregation

  • We celebrate Eucharist also known as Holy Communion       ( this is the service where we have bread and wine as as symbol of Christ's body and blood ) each Sunday, usually in a traditional format.  Our Family Service at the end of the month is a less formal Eucharist.
  • We attract a lively, friendly and caring congregation from the local area and further away.
  • Some members of the congregation have been part of the life and worship of St. Mary's for many years, while others have joined us very recently.
  • There are a growing number of children involved in the life and worship of St. Mary's,  especially through the Lady Katherine Leveson Primary School, whose pupils and staff attend a service every Thursday during the school term.
  • We also try to meet the needs of older members of the congregation, especially those resident in Lady Katherine Housing and Care.
  • We welcome all who want to come to us for baptisms, marriages and funerals.
  • Our beautiful church is usually open during the week, 9 am until 4 pm (or Sunset) each day. You are welcome to come inside to pray or meditate.
